How to Stop Managing Tenants Over WhatsApp

Almost every property manager we talk to starts the same way: a WhatsApp group per building, used for everything from a broken boiler to a bin collection reminder.

It works, until it doesn't. Messages scroll past before anyone actions them. A maintenance request sits between someone's dinner photo and a noise complaint. There's no record of who reported what, when it was fixed, or whether the tenant was ever told.

The fix isn't "use a different chat app" — it's separating the two things WhatsApp conflates: casual conversation, and things that need tracking to resolution.

A maintenance request needs a status (submitted, in progress, resolved), an owner, and a timestamp. An announcement needs to reach everyone once, reliably, not depend on people scrolling back through a group. A building handbook question ("what's the wifi password", "when is bin day") needs to be answered once and self-served forever, not asked every few weeks by a new tenant.

That's the gap TenantHub fills: a tenant portal where maintenance requests are tracked from submission to resolution, announcements go out to every tenant at once, and a searchable handbook answers the questions you're currently answering by phone. Property managers we work with typically get everything running in under 20 minutes.
